  11. Prepare 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  12. Make ready 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  13. Get 1 small onion finely chopped
  14. Get 1 small tomato finely chopped
  15. Get Bread crumbs/ Rava(sooji) for coating
  16. Make ready Oil for shallow frying

DIRECTIONS Brown meat and set aside. Combine: soup, milk and sour cream. Stir in potatos, half of cheese and half of french fried onions. Thoroughly dry the pieces of chicken with paper towels.

Instructions to make Chicken-Potato Chops

  1. In a saucepan, heat 3 tablespoons of oil.
  2. Add in the chopped onion and sauté till translucent
  3. Add in the ginger garlic paste/minced ginger and garlic
  4. Add in the chopped tomatoes and cook till soft and mushy
  5. Add in 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala powder and salt as per taste
  6. Add in the chopped cilantro leaves.
  7. Add in the minced meat of your choice.(Here I’m using chicken)
  8. Add in half a cup of water if you feel it’s too dry.
  9. Cook till the meat is tender and done.
  10. The dish should be dry like this
  11. When done, add in a teaspoon of lemon juice and mix well.
  12. Beat two eggs in a bowl
  13. Take a small amount of mashed potato and flatten it on the palm of your hand, forming a flat disc
  14. Add in a tablespoon of the cooked and cooled minced meat.
  15. Form another disc out of mashed potatoes and place it over the meat.
  16. Secure the ends well forming a smooth cutlet.
  17. Dip the cutlet/potato chops in the beaten egg
  18. Coat them with bread crumbs/rava (sooji)
  19. Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying.
  20. When the oil is hot, carefully place the potato chops in the oil and cook for about 2 minutes on each side
  21. Place it on a paper napkin
  22. Serve hot as a starter or a snack
