Bistek Tagalog is classic Filipino dish made of thinly sliced beef marinated and braised in a mixture of citrus juice (more commonly, the local fruit, calamansi), soy sauce, onions, garlic, and pepper. A delicious medley of salty, tangy, and savory flavors, it's traditionally served with steamed rice. Bistek Tagalog is a type of Filipino beef stew. This is also known as Beefsteak to some people.

Steps to make bistek:
- marinate beef with soy sauce , lemon juice, & sugar for about 1 hour or overnight.
- preheat pan and add 2tbsp oil. Add mince garlic then onion.
- Add marinated beef when onions turned soft & golden. Simmer til beef is cook then add the cornstarch dissolve in 3tbsp water to thicken sauce.
- Add pepper to taste and serve with rice :) . Enjoy!
