- Get 3/4 tbsp light chilli powder
- Take 1/2 tbsp dark chilli powder
- Make ready tbsp beef base
Reduce heat to medium and stir in the garlic. Cook Meat, onion, and garlic in a dutch oven or large saucepan on medium high heat until browned, stirring to crumble the meat well. Drain in a colander and rinse with hot water, return to pan. Stir in water (or stock) and remaining ingredients.

- Add Olive oil to a hot pot and salute your onions
- Add your 80/20 ground beef and cook till most of the pink is out and add your black pepper and minced garlic and cook for 3 mins
- Add your tomatoes and beans and all the dry spices and mix well
- In one of the cans add hot water and the beef base and mix till dissolved and add to the pot
- Turn the heat down to low and simmer for 3 hours, while skimming the fat off as you check it every now and then
- Taste the chilli and add more chilli powder if needed

- I toast my cumin before I grind it to bring out the flavor more and if you want the chilli heated up you can throw a few serrano peppers with a star cut on the tip of them, this will give it heat in the back of the throat but not burn the Hell out of your mouth
